WOODLAWN, Md., August 1, 2008 – ANI Pharmaceuticals today announced the addition of a new Rx product line, complete with new name, logo and labeler code. The unveiling of BayPharma, Inc. will start with Fluvoxamine Maleate Tablets, USP, due to ship in mid-August. Several ANDAs will follow throughout the remainder of 2008 and beyond.
The ANI label will continue to be marketed, along with the BayPharma labeled Rx products. This additional labeler code will pose no change to the way customers do business with ANI. All aspects of the ordering and shipping process will remain exactly as they are today, with the exception of the additional labeler code (42769) sharing a purchase order and an invoice with the current ANI labeler (62559).
ANI Pharmaceuticals will continue to bring customers quality generic products, manufactured in our three facilities right here in the U.S. ANI’s expansion of its Rx capabilities continued with the acquisition from Solvay Pharmaceuticals, Inc. of two manufacturing facilities located in Baudette, MN. The plants add 173,000 sq. ft. of manufacturing and laboratory capacity, substantially expanding ANI’s capabilities and enhancing its already-rapid growth. The facilities, both of which are fully-cGMP qualified, increase ANI’s capacity in Rx liquid and solid dose production, including products requiring containment. In addition, the state-of-the-art analytical and stability laboratories increase ANI’s research and development capabilities nearly three-fold.
